Asia Argento is one of those crazy Euro chicks. She's dysfunctional, talented, unpredictable and sometimes interesting. She has a slightly depressive vibe, which I'm sure is part of her appeal. But if your dad was a famous horror movie director who read you his scripts as bedtime stories, you would too.

Her conceit of a bad childhood due to parental neglect plays into the whole image that she tries to convey. But, it's not merely an affectation - her movie Scarlet Diva, although widely panned, was highly autobiographical and showed some flashes of talent.

Here's something interesting. If you watch that movie, you'll see her standing on a picture of Vincent Gallo. She was engaged to him in 1998, but they never got married. Ten years later, he was cast along side her to do another movie. He said he'd rather retire than do the film.

Crazy Italian Chicks. Gotta love em. Then, you gotta run. But you have to give it to them, they usually ARE pretty talented. One way or another ;)
